It started as an ordinary morning. The roster had been passed out, a list of needed supplies had been given, and the scouting party made ready and headed out for the day.

It didn't go so well.The groups filtered back around the same time, out of breath, panicked, some injured

They don't make a pretty group, the redhead is fully aware. For her part, covered in blood and gore and ick, clutching her side because that crack she heard as she hit the truck must have been a rib, free hand holding tightly to the handles of those swords...

She doesn't like not looking pretty.

She doesn't like failing either.

Any and all attempts to help her to the infirmary will be answered with a snarl - she's going to be stubborn and try to get there herself.

Jayne's arms were covered in gore. His weapon was nearly out of bullets, and nothing was accomplished. So much for it just bein' a gorram job.

"We got someone here who's plannin' ta patch me up?!" he demanded, heading towards the infirmary.

His eyes shot to Saffron for a moment. She did help him back there, an' it was good thinkin'. Didn't mean he liked her any better.

Heading toward the infirmary is a good idea. The redhead's going to ignore him because-- well, because that's what she does. Clutching her side and making a steady way to the impromptu hospital-- and hoping someone besides Simon is on duty.

He got the canvas. Not much of it, but some, and Sokka has three bags of it dumped onto the floor as soon as they're inside. His boomerang will need cleaning, and sharpening, but he'll get to that later. For now, he's simply grateful everyone's come back all--

"Katara?"

For the second time in a single day, his face pales, something clenches in his chest.

"KATARA?!"

"She was taken alive." Krauser's scowling. "That's all I can tell you."

He doesn't need to hold him down or anything - really, Sokka's remarkably easy to keep track of.

Since he's standing stone-still, face pale and eyes wide.

Zuko is waiting in his wheelchair, looking less then pleased at the chaos when people start to return. "What happened? What's going on? Is everybody accounted for?"

...this dosen't look good.

"Shit," is hissed out through his teeth. This... is not good at all. "They've got the mall? And the hospital? And KATARA? -- Where's Sokka? Go find him and sit on him. DON'T let him do anything stupid..."
