"Hey, come on, you're not that bad," Wash called in. He was wandering. Zoe was off guarding the wall and probably trying to steal some of Jayne's ammo, and there was nothing for him to build. His vague plan had been to look for books in some of the empty rooms. On Serenity he never had time to read, but here... all he had was time.
"Ha, ha, and also, ha," Sokka replies dryly, looking up from the notebook papers-- but he does look a little less annoyed for the company. "I was trying to distract Katara and it kind of backfired on me. Now she keeps asking me about the greenhouse and... I have no idea how to build one."
Or maintain it. Or garden it. Or-- anything that has to do with it, really.
"Well," Wash stepped inside and looked at the papers, "As far as I can tell, they're not too difficult. Just a metal frame covered in glass, really. Of course if she's thinking we're going to make her fountains..." He stared at them all, "She's going to be sorely dissappointed. I don't know the first thing about fountains, and I'm pretty sure Harper is in the dark as well."
Sokka smirks a little at that, poking around until he finds one of the simpler fountains she's chosen. "She didn't have a bad idea about them - if you pipe them right, they could be used to water all the plants in there so we wouldn't have to do it ourselves. I mean, she mostly wants them because they're pretty, but we could make it practical, too.
"...Assuming I could figure out how to make the greenhouse work at all."
