The battle was a success-- sort of. They got Zuko back, but in no way they'd expected. And only one had been rescued from Harth's farm.
Harth hadn't even been dealt with entirely.
It makes people jumpy. It makes Sokka jumpy specifically, sitting on the step outside, his eyes on the wall or the sketchpad in his lap. The towers are up, the lights are up, they'll need to set up a guarding system so there is always one person at every tower, but maybe there's something more they could do. Not just a warning when someone touches the wall, but maybe something to slow them down - a shock of electricity, something.
