It was going to be titled after the pumpkin shortage, but, I can't handle that many shortages so I'm pretending like that isn't happening. Especially around the US Thanksgiving, too... ;3; Pumpkin, noooo. Well. Anyway!
Enjoy part 83! :)

[after no answer, he knocks again, and starts yelling]
Are you in there?

[he heaves his nine thousandth long sigh]

[bends down and lifts up the mat, finding the spare key that France told him would be there]
[unlocks the door and barges in, noticing the polar bear in the kitchen - he must be home...]
Canada? Are you here? Where are you?
Reply
Who are you?
Do you have any food? That lame guy upstairs hasn't been out to get my salmon in forever. We're out of seal. I can't live like this.
[upstairs, Canada has still not moved]

[goes up to the cabinet where he knows Canada keeps his food and puts it down on the ground in front of the bear]
[goes upstairs and walks into Canada's bedroom, and finds a lump underneath the blankets]
[shoves it]
Canada...?

[makes no move to remove the blankets]

[hair is greasy and limp, and there's four days' growth of ratty stubble on his face]
[there are bruises everywhere, especially on his face and around his throat, and the bandages on his body don't look like they've been changed at all]
[looks over at Estonia slowly, with an empty expression]
You could have just text-dumped me... wouldn't have had to see me like this.

Oh god damn it, I'll be right back!
[walks briskly into the adjoining bathroom and turns on the bath, filling it up with warm water]
[comes back into the bedroom and rips the sheets off, revealing the extent of Canada's injuries]
Come on, I'm going to get you cleaned up.

I'm fine. Isn't that what you said?
I'm fine, too.
It's okay, you don't have to force yourself to be here.
[starts pulling a sheet back over his head]
I'm sorry.
Reply
[takes the sheet and throws it to the bottom of the bed again]
I came because I heard you were hurt. And I needed to talk to you!
Now, can you walk to the bath or will I have to carry you?
