part 78 is over the rainbow

Nov 09, 2009 21:20

What a nice, sort of slow maxing! I hope your start of the week is going good... Mondays always seem so slow for me! Also, man, we're almost to part 80... crazy.

Enjoy part 78! :)

He looks like you with long hair. It's a little eerie, honestly.

And with added girlyness.

Just a little?

That too. Okay, maybe a lot. Family resemblance can't really account for anything like that.

[waves dismissively] Anyway. Have any manual labor that needs doing? Something about high shelves, or something to that effect?

It's not like we're twins or anything.

Right - I said I was going top make you tea, hmm? Both the tea and the teapot are on shelves I can't reach - and I still haven't figured out the kettle.

Right. Hey, which are more common, identical or fraternal twins?

Right! I can help with the shelves. Do you not know how to use the burners, or what? 'Cause I can boil the water, but I'm not really sure about what to do afterwards- most of the time I just asked someone else to it. OTL

Fraaternal! Or was it identical? Identical twins are the ones thatlook alike, right?

Good. Pretty much everything to do with that thing. If you boil the water and fetch things for me, I'll deal with the rest.

Yep. I would have thought the fraternal ones would be common, but maybe I'm just biased, what with me and my bro...

Great. Now- where exactly is your kitchen?

You're a twin? What's that like?

It's back at my house, I'll show you the way

[starts leading you in the direction he's sure his house is]

[takes a few quick strides to catch up, then walks beside you] Ah- like I said, we're fraternal, so it's like having a normal sibling, except you have to share a birthday. We didn't get along that well when we were little.

Like normal siblings? Minus the dshared birthday, that is.

[cut where a walk to his house'd be]

Well, it's actually my older self's house. But he lets me stay here so [fishes out a key from somehwere and passes it to you] it dosen't matter.

Even if getting in by myself can be a pain.

Just about. Identical twins get along way better though, I'm kind of jealous.

...You can't reach the keyhole, can you. [tries not to laugh while unlocking the door]

's alright. We've all been short at some point. You'll grow a bit more in a few... hundred years or so. [opens the door wide a steps back]

Right. You go first.

Suppose so.

[enters the house and leads you to the kitchen]

The kettle is stored there, [points to a cupboard] The tea there. [points to a shelf] and the teapot is right over there [points to another shelf]

[rummages though a draw and gets out astaspoons and a strainer]

Oh and the cups are in the cupboard next to the one with the kettle in.

Got it?
