... I'm watching a terrible "horror" film right now. Ghost Voyage - not... well it's just really bad and boring and I'm not sure why I'm watching it. Oh well - please enjoy part 55!

[still holding the cat close, but he doesn't back away, so...

... you can dry them. if you want. he's still upset though]

[England frowns, saying nothing as he lightly dabs at the younger nation's eyes. When he's done, he moves to stand -- but winces.]

[petpetpetting the kitten--]

Wh-what's wrong?

[misterunionjack]

My back.

[land_ofdreams]

[takes a couple steps closer and reaches a hand out to touch England's shoulder]

D-do you... need help?

[misterunionjack]

[Blast it. He does ONE act of kindness (not even ONE but several) and this is how God repays him --] I'm fine, lad. I'm fine. [England carefully sits on the ground and crosses his legs. Rubbing at his back, he half-mutters,] What did you name him? Or her, I suppose.

Good.

[caustiously sits beside him, kitten in his lap]

I named her Ice Cream. Do you like the name? France said it was a good name, and I think it really fits her!

'Ice Cream'? [Christ, picking that name was just like America. England can't help but chuckle. Far be it from him to agree with France, however, even if he was in a better mood.] It sounds very sweet. Do you plan to have him for dessert?

Her, she's a girl, silly!

[puts his hands over Ice Cream's ears!] No! She's not real ice cream!

[misterunionjack]

[He laughs. He hadn't laughed like this in a while.] My apologies for the slip, Ms Ice Cream, [he says, addressing the kitten. England extends a hand, intending to shake her paw.] It's a pleasure to meet you.

[giggles and holds her paw out since she probably won't do it herself] She says she's happy to meet you, too!

You should pet her. She's really soft and cuddly!

[misterunionjack]

[He grasps her paw, giving it the customary shake before sounding every ounce the gentleman and asking,] May I pet you?

[land_ofdreams]

[the kitten mews, and America takes this to be an answer] She says yes!

You'll have to forgive me for doubling back, because I think we may be stretching the page.

[misterunionjack]

[He gently caresses her head. After a while, he states,] Well -- I suppose she isn't so bad. It would still be better if I had been the one who bought her for you.

ah, no worries!

She likes you! She's purring!
