History:

The Piva, is a north Italian bagpipe (though south Italy has variations of it).

After WW2 people mostly stopped playing it. They restarted after 1980, when they tried to stop it from completely falling out of use.

During Christmas the Piva players were used to play Christmas songs although, during the rest of the year, they played dancing music.
