I enjoyed your fic! I thought it was very moving. It's a difficult time period to write in my opinion and I think you did a good job with it. :)

I was more than a little anxious about this one, because of the time period and because this is only the second time I've written Japan, so it's a great relief to me that you liked. Thanks so much for letting me know!

Gasp! This was such a wonderful read \*o*/ Both Alfred and Sakura were perfect - just the right balance between sour and sweet. I want to say much more, your fic deserves it, but I lack words right now... maybe after the review I'll write to you again, this time with my LJ ID.

Thank you so so much for writing this, you made me a super happy fangirl :3

Oh, this makes me so happy to hear! As I think you might know, since I had the mod ask you a question about it, I actually started with a different request of yours--but America/Japan was my first 'ship in this fandom and I've never written them properly, so I decided to try this one. When I re-read your request, I wasn't sure if I showed the "falling in love" strongly enough, but I hope it came through in glimmers.

Thank you for making such a beautiful request!

(Also, I noticed after the fact that there were some things in this version I didn't quite like, so if you don't mind I'll link you to the polished version after the reveal.)
