Title: "Radio 039: Ask Italy - Ep.1 - Part 2"
Author: J.J.
Warning: I might have failed in portraying correctly the regions involved. If that's the case just tell me. Those were done out of love for the Italian regions, not with the intent to offend someone.
Notes: Recently I really need to draw which is why this long strip managed to have birth... It's nowhere near to the APH standards but well, I'm not Himaruya-san...
Characters: Italy Veneziano (Feliciano Vargas) & Italy Romano (Lovino Vargas) with the intrusion, idrance, help of Seborga (?), Campania (Antonio Vargas), Lombardia (Alberto Vargas), Veneto (Mario Vargas), Emilia (Gino Vargas), Sicilia (Rosalia Vargas), Lazio (Lucio Vargas), Alto Adige (Carolina Vargas), Mafia (Salvatore Martura), Toscana (Dante Vargas), Calabria (Tommaso Vargas)
Time: 2012.
Disclaimer: "Axis Powers Hetalia" belongs to Himaruya Hidekaz.
Hey, do I own something here? Oh yes, I own the plot and a sensible heart which would surely break if you give me harsh reviews... so please be honest but nice ok? Oh and the representation of the Italian regions are mine as well
Summary: The Italies handle a radio program in which they answers to questions about themselves...

7000 caffé (7000 coffee) (2003) by Alex Britti
7000 coffee, I've already drunk them because
I'm tired of being behind the wheel and would like to arrive by evening to you
that are waiting for me in the castle up there
with the braid already untied, looking out from the balcony, dressed in blue
7000 coffee, it's the effect that I have
when I arrive at the door and I see you scream my name with your eyes so
you come to me and I'm crazy about you,
in a moment we share the sweetest kiss, the sweetest in the world
I need you like water need coffee
like a world that spins and that, my love, if you do not want it,
will never end.
For example, you know, the other night I was at home
I tried to drink but the fridge was empty because I didn't make shopping,
you will not believe this, guess what's in there,
I found a cup with the last of the 7000 coffee.
This night is cold, luckily there's fire
it seems so much to me, for everyone else is just too few,
every alley cries, every alley is blind
it sees what it wants, and not all the rest
Now I'm here alone and I do not sleep and I do not fly
while you're far away I think back of a scene about you without veils
I do not know what it is, maybe it's due to too much coffee
but tonight I can not sleep and I've to make love by myself
I need you because you are beautiful and then
I need all those things that you have not
I need you like water need coffee
like a world that spins and that, my love, if you do not want it,
will never end.
Notes:
Yes, someone asked me something along the line, plus I saw fics having Italy eat pasta for breakfast. As of now, for Italians, it's a pretty shocking idea. I don't think there's someone who would consider it.
Back in the far past however it was possible in some regions of Italy to have it for breakfast... not because you were a glutton for it but because the only option for breakfast was to eat the leftover from dinner... or to get a bit of an early prepared lunch. Other options included soup, polenta, cheese, bread and... skipping breakfast.
Coffee was a luxury item and so were sweets so only rich people could have breakfast with them.
As of now however a 'colazione' (Italian breakfast) is supposed to be light and involve:
1 drink: usually coffee (in one of its many variations), milk (with or without cocoa), orange juice, some other juice, hot chocolate or even tea.
1 sweet: biscuits, cake, croissant, krapfen, jam, marmalade, nutella (ciocolate cream), honey, yogurt, cereals...
1 fruit: apple, pear, banana, you name it...
People in a hurry tend to have only 1 coffee, while when they're on holiday and can be lazy they delight themselves with a complete Italian breakfast.
Anyway, to go with the stats Emilia introduced us with, the 79% of the Italians manages to have a well balanced Italian breakfast.
According to the experts the Italian breakfast is healthy as it's less caloric, it's poor of lipids and have calcium.
On a sidenote people describe us as obsessed with pasta and pizza but I think if Italians really have an obsession that's for expresso coffee. We really should add it to the national stereotype...
Oh, and if you're curious about the regions... Lombardia really has an obsession about the different ways in which you can have coffee (which apparently is spreading through all the north), Campania is supposed to be the best coffee maker of all Italy, though he prefers to use his own coffee machine, the cuccumella, also called Napoletana by the rest of Italy while after a travel to Sicilia I've discovered Sicilia prefers to have a coffee granita with whipped cream on the top. And I guess other regions might have other preferences. So each region its own. Coffee, of course. ^_-
