Thanks for that link. I nodded a lot. Even as a teen, I never felt pressured by media to be a certain way. I mean, I felt it, but never so strongly that I thought I needed to sex myself up to be popular (my older sister's another story, but she never had a strong sense of individuality).

But now, it's even more inescapable. I fear the teenaged girls of the world won't escape with a scrap of self esteem.

Love that song as well as Mary J. Blige's songs. I used to love Janet Jackson's earlier work. Then there was En Vogue, SWV. Old school R&B, really miss that.
