I have a real life. I swear I do.

It's been such a long time since I posted about real life. I was actually looking at the little word cloud on my sidebar and realized that the tags "Smallville" and "fic" were actually bigger than "real life." Granted, I write a lot of fic and it's pretty much all Smallville fix-its, so that makes sense. But I should give equal time to what's ( Read more... )

Diet coke is evil! So keep backing away slowly, and don't look it in the eye. :-)

Anyway, for what it's worth, I am really proud of you. It is so admirable to me that you have the strength to know what you want in your life, and you stick with it. Do you realize how few people have the courage to do that? Trust me, they are few and far between. And yes, you do have oodles of talent, but talent alone isn't what gets the job done at the end of the day. It is always persistence, and the wisdom to know what's important to you. You've got that, April, and that's why you'll always be a success!

I'm doing well enough on the diet coke. I've replaced it with Diet Hansen's root beer (their diet cola tastes too funny) and diet Arizona green tea. It's Splenda, so still just a little evil, but not AS evil. And neither has sodium, so yay ( ... )

You're totally welcome for the comments (although I *just* canceled my blogger account because of Google's new "we're always watching" policy, so I'm not sure you can respond to them directly. sorry!).

But I wouldn't have been able to refrain from commenting, because "How We Got Here" is simply a masterpiece. When I think about it, I think it's safe to say it's even my all-time favorite Chlark story from any author, ever. There are some stories that have the power to heal mental wounds, and make everything seem right again, and that was one of them. I'll never read that story without wanting to stand up and yell, "BRAVO!!"

Aw, really? Honestly, if I can help heal only a few of the wounds SV has inflicted, then my work is done!

Well, it's not as I have oodles of fic I'm honor bound to finish and/or start, but you know... job satisfaction.

I believe I can still respond. You just might not get notification I do :)

Being watched gives me the creeps, too. But I do like some of the new blogger features, so it's a toss-up!
