Grief is like alcohol, it will affect people physiologically in similar ways, but how it’s expressed varies from person to person and their psychological profile.

Grief is a highly personal thing, and pushing it down to get through the things that must be done is not uncommon. Just remember to give yourself time to grieve once those immediate things are done-- it's far too easy to look around, see more Things That Must Be Done and keep pushing the grief down.
