So beautifully tragic... not tragic like a terrible death... tragic on an individual level... tragic like the little part of Doumeki's heart that must die every time he thinks about not having Watanuki... If the milkman comes to run away with Watanuki's wife, Doumeki will be there to console him I'm sure. Your fic was short and sweet, good job.

I was just thinking how strange it is that everyone interprets things so differently. ^____^ I originally intended for Doumeki to be the milkman - Watanuki gets a chance at normal life in exchange for their relationship, which is why they're so estranged - but your interpretation works well too. Not sure which one I like better actually. Anyway, thanks again! <3

OMG, I love the Yasuaki/Eisen one!!!! Sooo adorable!!! I really wonder if either of them would have any clue what they were doing though~ one's a monk and the other is... well, Yasuaki. Um, Shinomiya/Iwai... Maybe something to do with Shinomiya getting jealous...? (Naruse hits on Takutobunny and Shinomiya goes all huffy and then happy smut smiles all around?) Ah, poor Doumeki. It really is the sort of thing he'd do, giving up his own happiness for someone else's, and keeping up pretenses that everything was okay.

I've always seen Doumeki as the self-sacrificing type, and particularly protective of Watanuki - perhaps not so much in the anime, but definitely in the manga.
