It's like finding another Ariadne, in finding Scheherazade: she sounds like a natural dreamer, and he's more than happy to show her exactly what he does, building worlds in a dream. Scheherazade has wandered downstairs - she's wearing her usual, if a touch more modestly, for Mr. Cobb is a grown man, and she is seeing him without the usual excuse of scholarship.

This feels a little bit naughty, and it's exciting, and she knows her family isn't there to judge, but still...

... and there is truth in this, and a quest, and it feels right.

"Good morning," she says when she sees him. "I hope I have not made you wait..."

He might give her a flicker of a smile. "No, no, not at all: I was just making a few last minute adjustments," he says, glancing to the PASIV device. He's still not sure what are half the widgets that the Doctor cobbled into it, but it got it working again.

Scheherazade smiles back, she looks rather pleased to see Cobb again.

She'll wander over, catch a good look at the device.

"What is it?" She is obviously intrigued.

"We call it a PASIV device: it helps us when we're administering the drugs we use, what we call Somnacin," he says. "There's a pump in it that delivers a carefully timed dose," he'll lay his hand on the pump on one side of the case. "It's stored in this reservoir," he adds, indicating the container attached to it. "And it flows through one of these catheters, into a hollow needle that we insert into the vein of the arm, usually the hollow of the elbow."
