I don't usually comment on stuff (mainly because I haven't really gotten my livejournal account set up. For goodness sake's I don't even have an icon yet...) But I absolutly love this! You really sholdn't be so hard on yourself you have a beautiful simplicity to your writing that is just gorgeaus with your syntax. It really seems like a well written child's story. I love. love LOVE the paragraph, "But despite these faults...feel captivated by the very mystery that she was" It makes the connection between the characters much more strong and the true passion there is just so...Goodness it love it. I was almost in tears at the paragraph (blame the lack of sleep I have been getting). Plus I'm a sucker for H.C Anderson remakes...(I did one for a final in my plays and playwrites class.)Enough of my ranting Fabulous job and please write more you have a talent (ans perferrably finish this story)

Danggity straight. When I was a kid I was so upset at the ending of Disney's Little Mermaid. I was like, "Mommy where's the suicide?!" It would totally make that story better... (I think my mother realized then that she gave birth to a very strange child)
