Have you seen/heard of Working: The Musical? It's based on the book with mostly direct quotations. And it's fabulous.

We did it for the fall musical last year. Best part was that they let us do the hooker's monologue, which is one of my personal favorites. Worst part was that absolutely none of the high school kids who attended understood it.

Hmm, this puts us in a bit of a quandry. A partial-percentage hipster is a beast of two worlds, where the twain never quite meet. You may, as of yet, not be quite hip enough for Portland. Maybe we should ship you off to Seattle for some hummus and soy latte treatment.

I dunno, I had mixed feelings. It started off brilliantly and the language remained characteristically brilliant the whole way through, and I do love the sheer absurdity that surrounds Krug at all times. Very much liked the Paduk/Krug dynamic, brief as it was. Could not get into the ending. Totally unsatisfying to me. I'm reading it again now.
