Thank you for this recipe! I have been hoping to find a good recipe for pepernoten. I am baking Speculaas on Monday to celebrate St. Nicholas Day and now i will be baking Pepernoten too! Again - thank you so much!

Katie! I just made your lovely Pepparnoten! Yes in September! I am testing out recipes for "old world cookies" this week.

Your grandmother's cookies are delicious and smell so intoxicating! My sweetie has been back to the cooling rack at least 8 times! THAT is a very good sign!!! He is after all, at heart, a chocolate chip guy!
