Somehow she didn't think Mika would enjoy that too much either.
"Fair enough." Rubi responded, not drawing her own weaponry quite yet. "I'll give you tips as we go."
The mall was utterly silent as the gunslinger pushed open the glass doors with a dramatic shove of both hands on each panel. Unsurprisingly, she didn't seem to mind the eerie atmosphere and simply sauntered right on in without looking for any signs of the resident mannequin army. "First tip, use your whole arm to aim. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking just your wrist matters with accuracy. Second, exhale before you shoot. It helps to keep your fingers from shaking too much."

"Mm." She nodded with a huff, her tail lashing.
Her tail tucked reflexively as soon as she stepped inside the glass doors, her ears angling to catch any sounds around them that might hint at movement. Exhale before she shoots? She'd never heard that before, but she listened to Rubi's words carefully, intent on taking them all to heart. At least as long as she could remember them. Mika had found her memory had been getting worse as of late, stress was likely the culprit, but she was going to start taking notes more often to keep things in check.

After lazily rolling her shoulders to release some of the tension she had accumulated from sleeping in odd positions on the couch (Usually with Zita perched on her stomach or nestled into her side, so you see the problem) Rubi moseyed on over to one of the mall maps standing in the center of the hallway. Naturally, the mall itself was quite dark - she had to lean in close to read the listing of stores.
Which begged the question: where the hell would they find a jukebox?

After watching Rubi squint at the list, Mika rummaged in her bag before producing a flashlight and shining it on the map. The local spooks would know they were there with or without the extra light, so she might as well put the thing to good use. Even if she did feel oddly like a boyscout.
'Always prepared' indeed.
Sadly, if Rubi had asked, Mika wouldn't have been able to answer. Probably in one of those odd little antiques and oddities shops that carried a little bit of everything.

Her shoulder gave a hollow 'pop' noise as she stretched and rolled her neck, wincing a bit at the knots in her muscles giving a few twinges in protest. Dante really had to start closing the bedroom door when he put Zita to bed, or the puppy eventually wound up snoozing on Rubi's chest.
"First right, about two hundred meters, and the shop should be on our left somewhere." That was about two hundred meters of walking past mannequin-filled windows, mind you. Malls really sucked.

In the stillness of the mall, the sound of popping joints was surprisingly loud, Mika's head cocking as a brow began to arch. "You know, you and Dante need to stop partying so hard if you're going to end up so stiff."
Meters? What? Sadly Mika wasn't too brushed up on her metric skills. First right, music store somewhere on the left. "Got it."
The light went out as she let her eyes get used to the dark again, finding it easier to see now. Lots and lots of mannequins. "Should be easier if we stay towards the middle of the corridors. How're we going to get the jukebox out? Grab a shopping cart and tape it up? I seem to recall those tend to get haunted too, don't they?"
