This thing about Cloud doing the opposite of what people tell him... soldierinbloom June 13 2010, 09:13:39 UTC
The truth? Zack was more than a little confused on the matter. He wasn't... sure he liked the fact that Shiki's words played in the back of his mind. It couldn't have been anything he could have done, right? He'd never met Cloud before.

He couldn't have pressed it, either. Zack would say he'd learned at least a few things about tact. If someone didn't want to talk about it right then and there, then they wouldn't. Under normal circumstances, if there weren't crazy ghosts running around, he'd have been gun-ho for it. For asking, trying to figure out what was wrong.

And now Cloud was injured? Just how injured?

Internally, Zack winced a little bit at the thought. Just what happened? And how bad is it? Silent questions, just to himself. For the most part, he was completely and utterly oblivious to what Angeal, to what Mika, to what Cloud and Reno already knew. Zack wasn't completely unobservant. He'd just... chalked it up to strange circumstances. This place was odd enough ( ... )

It's very serious illness. :S Called idiotism. stormhelm June 13 2010, 09:37:28 UTC
Cloud quickly realised the in-person part was going to be a bigger problem than he originally thought. He started up at the other, eyes widening a little, the weirdness of the situation hitting him just with how much younger Zack looked. Of course, on the feed he'd had his old hairstyle, and the slightly more rowdy and immature voice.

Up close... he could see the youth in his face, a little less jaded, and a little less scarred - the mark of Angeal's demise completely absent. It almost made Cloud feel younger, himself, like he'd un-grown and was walking in through a doorway to his past, back when everything was a lot less complicated. Before-

He had to force himself to tear his eyes away in the end, moving briskly past Zack and covering his almost pained expression by rubbing his face blearily. Don't let it get to you."Even ghosts must like to sleep in," he mumbled, looking about the place. It was really not much different from his and Shiki's apartments, save for furniture being in a few different positions ( ... )

They make pills for that, I think. soldierinbloom June 13 2010, 09:53:52 UTC
"Hey, it's no trouble! Door's open for you guys any time!" There was such confidence in his voice. That everything was going to be alright, that the sun was going to rise as surely as it set unhindered. Things that, later one, probably would be a little more difficult to express.

Naivety, frankly.

Closing and re-taping the door, the lights dim, Zack rubbed his hands together when he moved to face Cloud to give himself something to do while his mind kicked itself into gear. He hadn't been too used to having so much free time, or at least having time to do with what he wanted. And he didn't want to ask Cloud why he always looked so crestfallen. Not yet.

"But yeah! Make yourself right at home. You look kinda tired, anyways..." Not that it looked too lived-in. Zack was a little frightened of that. He always needed something to do to put some kind of focus, before his bones ached from the tension ( ... )

No pill can help the walking spiky contradiction that is Cloud. stormhelm June 13 2010, 10:09:12 UTC
Automatically he began to move over to the couches - just standing upright was proving to be a bit of an effort, even after the nap that Muraki's pills had graced him with ( ... )
