The first thing, he's sure that he can remember, is facts, simple things. You don't go running with scissors. Don't use double-sided sticky tape to torment the pomeranian-chihuahua that belonged to the aunt. And you don't go careening down steps, or halls, or made stupid turns, or talked to ghosts.

By all means, he's sure he should be dead.

Oh, well, some part of Wei thought. Oh, well, since a stupid car crashes weren't going to be enough to to him in, right?

Wei muttered something. Something, because he, himself, wasn't sure he was making sense, much less able to hear himself-- part of the process. Another one of those idle thoughts. Lethargy was just how it went. But he nodded, as if the Spirit could see him, a little weirded out that he couldn't feel anything. Blood loss, Wei keeps reminding himself ( ... )

Wei focused on Bakura's face, surprising himself with how easy it was. Maybe it was that contact. A focal point. Reality. Relief. The emotional core was shouting with it, with the utter sense of 'oh, thank God, I'm saved! I'm a believer now ( ... )

Muraki finally arrived, seeming a bit ruffled and out of breath, having just run up several flights of stairs and dodged ghosts.

"What happened?" He asked Bakura, immediately dropping down on his knees beside Wei, opening his medical bag up and putting on gloves. He seems as if he's not paying attention to anything else but the quick preparations of his tools, but he is taking everything in, watching the pulse beating in the line of Wei's throat.

"Hybrid teas; Black Magic," Wei ended up muttering. So fussy, those particular ones, but his sister loved them.

He could remember Yoora, Yoora, and all her jabbering about how the stupid things were so constantly under cared for, when really, it was just conditions. And plants-- they didn't hurt people. Not really, and were just so much easier to talk to. "An' 'm not tired. Just a little-- under."

Conscious. There. Just... under what felt like a thick, glass surface. "Two words, doc: stairs." Humorous? No. Not in the slightest. Oh, good, merciful heavens, no. Wei was damned sure he was dying. Then again, some would argue the philosophy of that every day. But it was possibly worth the reference.

"Let me see..." Muraki reached out to take hold of his arm, inspecting the wounds with narrowed eyes. "You're going to be all right. We just need to patch you up... Now," he said, picking a small flashlight out of his pocket. "I am going to shine this in your eyes. Just relax and try not to blink."
