Between summer and winter From the September equinox to the December solstice At this time, this season I wish to hinder For this season isn’t quite so nice I’ve seen good and bad I’ve felt hot and cold Its been here since I was a young lad And now I’m expected to be rather bold The reeking of this season is sweet yet so bitter I’m glad to be embraced by it yet saddened So soon my last season comes hither the tree which lives longer then I, makes me maddened Now I lie at a seasons end, ready to die Never to see another season pass by

Between summer and winter
From the September equinox to the December solstice
At this time, this season I wish to hinder
For this season isn’t quite so nice
I’ve seen good and bad
I’ve felt hot and cold
Its been here since I was a young lad
And now I’m expected to be rather bold
The reeking of this season is sweet yet so bitter
I’m glad to be embraced by it yet saddened
So soon my last season comes hither
the tree which lives longer then I, makes me maddened
Now I lie at a seasons end, ready to die
Never to see another season pass by
