Such a perfect view of Anne. So practical for all the romanticism that got her taken along in the first place. I sense her and James having a long and happy life together as soon as they figure one another out.

Catherine and Garrett might not be so lucky. *g*

She and James will be snarky and prickly and very, very happy. With fat babies. AWWWWW. /is a girl

Hee. ::dances you, who sent me the movie in the first place!::

Oh my. Clearly, another reason to find a believable reason why I need a region-free dvd player...Ioan's Alice and Ioan's Matthew in the same movie (but no Ioan)? *confused and amused*

Confusion notwithstanding, this was a highly amusing piece of work, and touching too. I love the little details that make their relationship so vivid even to someone who hasn't a face or a sense of the whole context to go upon. I'm particularly fond of Anne's voice, especially in this line: In her less charitable moments, Anne suspects that this is because neither one of them has the wit or sense God gave a cabbage, to realize that things are difficult.

It was somehow a very Elizabeth Bennet assessment of Jane and Bingley, to throw back to a universe with which I am thoroughly familiar--but really I think that's just a reflection of something true about the relationships between siblings, and you did a wonderful job conveying that.

I haven't watched the movie yet, but I need to, because you made me fall in love with Anne and James. So sweet, so awkward, so *real* they feel here.

that time and ease and beauty had never received their adequate due before and shan't be coming again

Awww. It's a tough move for her, but I can tell she'll make it okay.

Agh. Just been reminded of the threesome fic I have had planned for this fandom ever since watching the movie the first time!!! (Which, incidentally, is MY FAVOURITE IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, WOOO SOMEONE ACTUALLY WROTE FIC FOR IT!!! *MUCH LOVE TO YOU AND THE FIC*!!!)

Favourite line - the bit about the other two having less wits than God gave a cabbage. LOL!!!!

Loved this!

Oh, it really *really* is!!!!! *adds muchly to the love*

I finally made/let Mr. LRB watch it the other night - he's a history buff of the highest order (bloomin' teachers!!!) but I warned him in advance that it was Silly, and he enjoyed it. (And at least he now knows what I'm blithering on about!! *snorts*)
