nd even then, they weren’t truly equal. Sharpe never fit in the way Lawford did, never felt at ease in the Officers’ Mess.
I get the feeling that, just as much as Sharpe thinks he can't be Lawford's equal, Lawford thinks he'll never be Sharpe's....
But every time they were together, Lawford offered him that same gift: someone wanted him, and nobody else would do....
....But it was only here that Lawford admitted that older need, that of a friend
I think these are my favourite bits: the way two such different men mirror each other, without necessarily realising it or understanding what draws the other to them....

Oh yes. I find that the most interesting aspect of their relationship. And trying to get that across without switching POV is a challenge in itself.

That's the other thing i find really interesting about the pair of them. Which is probably why I'm so attracted to Tiger-era fic..
And you just know those two are up to high jinks in the bedroom... but so far I've just been exploring Points A and B of their relationship. (Also, I'm not the best slashfic writer in fandom.)
(It looks like the Sharpe in your icon is wearing eyeliner. I'm not sure whether to giggle or swoon discretely.)
But what kind of fic do you want? Smut or something more general? I don't want to be rude and push porn at people who don't want it. :) I have the time and setting, so that's taken care of. As for Sharpe/Garrard... not sure I could write that, sorry. I have no grip on Tom whatsoever.
And Sharpe/Lawford = a match made in Heaven Oh yes! I just wish the movie version of Lawford didn't look so wrong, because I want an icon with those two.
It looks like the Sharpe in your icon is wearing eyeliner. It...what? Eyeliner? *checks icon out* Mmmm... it does, a little. now, that is doing weird things in my brain.
I'm not sure whether to giggle or swoon discretely. Completely up to you, my dear.
Can I have Sharpe/Lawford smut? Not being very good at writing it, and still wanting to read some. I mean, I rated the story above PG-13... and there's not even a peck on the cheek!
Must mean I need more smut-writing practise. At least I have the perfect models...
And you're not the only one who wants an icon of Sharpe and Lawford. I haven't even sorted out Lawford's looks in my head, so I can't even cast him. :(
I've only seen the first few Sharpe films (and read none of the books), and so I haven't met Lawford yet, but this was just gorgeous. Warm and bittersweet. *happy sigh*
Lawford is onscreen for a very little bit in Sharpe's Eagle, as Wellesley's ADC, though he looks nothing like Lawford SHOULD look...
And if you like the Sharpe TV series, you really should read the books, starting (of course!) with Sharpe's Tiger, which is just SO slashy I'm surprised BC doesn't just come out and say they're at it like rabbits...

Sharpe's Tiger is my absolute favorite of the Sharpe series. The world should be awash in Sharpe/Lawford fic. Truly.

This was lovely, slightly wistful yet tempered with a bit of banter at the end. And it's Sharpe/Lawford! My OTP in this fandom.
(And damn it, I owe you Sharpe fic from that meme way back.)

And, to be fair, it was only posted yesterday, so you didn't miss it for long!
And Sharpe/Lawford = a match made in Heaven.
Although I would really love to see some Sharpe/Garrard. Or maybe I could just write some of my own... *needs plotbunny*
