::wibbles:: This *hurts* me but I love it. They're both so proud and stubborn and in the end they both bend just as much as they're able, and it's enough. I think they'll be stronger together. I INSIST on it.

I also like that while Catherine and Garrett are shown as a contrast to Anne and James, it's not a better/worse contrast. Both ways of being together work for who they are.

I was quite vexed and unsure if they were going to actually *stay* together in this. They were trying very hard. I think they're both too stubborn for their own good.

Why is it, every time I plan on writing their first time, it all goes wacky and angsty? STupid characters. Hee.

They really are. I kind of love them a lot. Have you seen the movie yet?

No! I suck! But I've kind of fallen for them from these fics.

Hopefully the movie characters live up to what you're expecting! Hee.

So much catching up to do! *eep* Haven't seen this movie, but as I love the way you write, I read and enjoy anyway! I think this is the kind of dynamic between James and Anne that people who write Elizabeth and Darcy often miss--two strong willed people who haven't quite learned how to communicate. Makes for a much more interesting read than a relationship without conflict.

If you have a computer/laptop that can play R2 DVDs, let me know. I can burn you a copy and you can see the very pretty Matthewness and the very pretty Sophia Mylesness and just be all swoony too. Hee.
