So, I realize that after posting the drama of getting my meds replaced while I was in Hawaii in AUGUST I never really posted a proper update since. And for that - man, I am so sorry. The fall semester just about killed me. So, now that we're at the end of 2021, I'm going to try to give a brief bullet list update.

Really struggling not to feel completely fatalistic and like giving up and curling up in a ball because of Omicron.
I think that's how most of us feel by now.

I admit I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, it would be a fantastic opportunity. On the other hand, a) overall I think I'd prefer to work with younger kids and b) I'm perfectly happy to wait until I properly graduate first! My views are: If I get it, that's great. If I don't get it, I'm totally fine with that, too.

That may be just a local thing? Our county is not requiring proof of vaccination for dining - that would be FABULOUS if they did!

Time has absolutely FLOWN by - hopefully your next semester of classes is less life-swallowing!

It was really great to see you guys the other day and catch up!

But as far as things that did not come up in person -- I did not realize you were applying for the school library job -- that's very cool! and good luck!!

And cool about the next black belt test, too -- good luck with that also!

P.S. thank you for the cinnamon rolls -- they were still delicious when we finished them off today. :)

Congratulations to you for being ready to test for your 2nd degree black belt soon, and to Two for getting his early-action place! How long until you hear about the librarian job?

Presumably any day now, although I don't know if I'll hear from any one if I *don't* get it. The job is supposed to start on the 18th, so you'd think they'd need to pick somebody pretty soon! On the other hand, like I said, I don't know if I'll hear if they pick someone else, so it's possible they HAVE decided. But winter break only ended on Tues so ... who knows?

Hope all is well and that summer is off to a good start for you!
