Oh wow ... Two's lack of a grasp on reality must be frustrating. I am no mother, but if I'd have to prod my imaginary kid so hard, it sure would frustrate me. Hang in there!
It's so hard because you want to be supportive and not a wet blanket, and yet he HAS to understand the work that will be involved, and to make alternative plans just in case!
Very glad to hear the kids will be able to take their midterms early!
Bummer about no easy solutions for Crohn's... :(
Nice to hear that you continued to enjoy Philosopher's Flight! I was also surprised by the abruptness of the ending; there's a sequel planned, which should be published next July, which presumably will bridge some of the gap?
I'm guessing he and Danielle do not make a permanent couple, which makes me sad, but at the same time, I can also see happening.
That's what I'm thinking, too, from what the present-day narrator says about Danielle, and, yeah, it makes sense, given all the things they're dealing with, between them.
Glad to hear the Albertalli/Silvera book is good, too! I also really liked the excerpt in 'Leah' and am looking forward to reading it.
That octopus is absolutely brilliant! Did you have a pattern or did you make it up? If it was a pattern, I know my daughter would love to know where we could find it. ^.^
Pattern is the link right under the photos. :) (There's NO way I could invent something like this!!) I hope your daughter has a fantastic time with it. And thank you!
Ha! I totally missed that the name was a link. My daughter is an awesome knitter and makes amazing stuff up all the time - so I guess I assume other people who knit can too. ;-) Believe me, I think you did an incredible job to have made it following a pattern! My knitting skills are very elementary. :D
I'm really fine - just very, very busy. Life has thrown some unexpected and all-consuming things my way the last couple of years. One of these days, hopefully, I'll get back to posting things here. ^.^

I'm SUPER relieved about the midterms. Definitely crossing my fingers about the Crohn's meds.

And, ooh, thanks for the link to the next Philosopher book. That will make a great birthday gift for both of us next year! :D
