Well, today was more exciting that I'd planned

So, the mild snowstorm forecast for tomorrow has the potential to be a lot nastier; they've tentatively pre-canceled school for tomorrow. Given that MiniPlu had zero time for homework until, like, after 8p and she collapsed into bed shortly after, I do hope that she gets her snow day tomorrow. Thankfully, I wasn't called to sub today, so I went ( Read more... )

I'm not sure where people dream some of these things up from - I'm all for crack, I have written anthropomophic knitting - but some of those are plain weird!

I really have to read the other RoL graphic novels - I only read the first one. I don't particularly like reading graphic novels and I only read the first one because I needed it for the book bingo. *lol*

That's weird about those two guys ... they sound pretty fishy.

The only other graphic novels I ever liked was for Elfquest, but I kind of like the RoL ones as a nice alternative, while we wait for the proper novels. Besides, it gives a nice visual for the characters.

Wow. I giggled at anthro-donuts, but got to Baby Orangutan and just went wow. Are these necessarily sexy fics? Or just relationship?

Well, Character A/Character B is *supposed* to mean romantic relationship, although it doesn't have to be sexy. If it's just a gen ship, then it's presented as Character A & Character B. So either all the nominators (or just one crazy nominator?) got that bit wrong, or they really did mean for
Female Human/Egg-laying Monster to be a romantic and/or sexy ship. :P

As you, I firmly believe that the revelation about Rey's parents was false and just thrown at her by Kylo to upset her. If they were nobodies, it sure does not explain where she got her powers and connection to the Force from. I loved the visuals of the film, especially the ice foxes and I, too, felt a little iffy about character development here and there. The relationship between Finn/Rey was what drove most of The Force Awakens, and that driving force was - mostly - missing from this installment.

I'm sure there's a "Force" equivalent of being Muggle-born. So I'm sure it's *possible* that Rey's parents are nobodies. I just choose not to believe it. :P
