Goodbye house

Dec 03, 2016 23:19

Today we packed up the rest of our house, gave it a cursory re-cleaning, and left. Except for when Will has to swing by later this week to pick up the radon tester (now that the de-radon-ator has been installed), we don't plan to be back in our house ever again. In less than two weeks, it will belong to someone else.

MiniPlu was devastated. She ( Read more... )

I can imagine that it must be kind of hard to really leave behind the house and all the memories.
*hugs*

And YAY for getting repeated praise for your performance!
Maybe you are better at it than you had thought!

I guess I just had a good day? Certainly I've had days where I've felt completely uncoordinated. :P

And thank you. It's definitely bittersweet to leave the house.

Poor MiniPlu. :( I hope she's feeling better now that the final goodbye is over.

It's really amazing how hard it is to completely empty a home. TC and I lived in a smallish (~900 square feet) apartment for a couple of years before moving to the much larger condo we live in now (~1,600 square feet) and it took FOREVER to get everything out. I hate to think what it's going to be like when we eventually move again and have to empty the garage on top of what's inside the actual living space!

No, she's still very sad and bitter about the house.

Yeah, even after giving away, throwing away, and already MOVING so much stuff, it was appalling how much there was left to deal with. It was a ~2200 sq ft (I think?) house, oversize 2-car garage, with two dogs and four humans. Gah.

It is always hard to leave a place you've lived and loved, no matter how good the reasons for moving on. *hugs to you and MiniPlu*

Good job at Tae Kwon Do!

I know how hard it can be to take compliments but they clearly thought you were doing well so I guess just try and accept that.

I know it's tough to finally cut those last ties but here's to all of the memories you'll make in your new home! <3
