Well, congrats on your first day of subbing! Glad it wasn't really bad. Any idea how often you'll be called up, or it just depends on the day? (btw, third paragraph - MiniPlu's real name).

I'm likely to be called up every single day I haven't blocked off in advance as a "non-work day" (or haven't already accepted a job for that day) although, at any point, I'm able to respond to the robo-call by pressing a certain number and ensuring I don't get any more calls that day. They SAY the calls start around 6am but last Thurs it was 5:30am! I admit I'm not really keen on being called - I'm trying to make a point of looking at the website and keeping tabs on jobs offered, so I have more say in what I pick, rather than being hounded by multiple offers at places or for positions I might not be that keen on.

I've subbed a few times here usually at the middle school level. They will ask to go to the bathroom or anywhere constantly! And I'm always the only person sitting in teacher's lounge at lunch. I hope you enjoy it! I can't stand it because my social anxiety is just too much.
