I conveniently failed to tell my family what was in it, when they took taste-tests. ;-) I saw a recipe that used melted dark chocolate instead of cocoa powder - might have to experiment with that at some point, too.

OMG, he was just so adorable. I hope he's doing ok at the wildlife rehab center.

It is something that occurred to me, although hopefully the temps will improve. Also, the ride to school is almost entirely downhill.

It's so hard for me, because the issues that upset her are things that I really do not grasp. I KNOW that fitting in (or at least, not drawing negative attention) is a desperately important issue at this age - I do get that. But I also know that you shouldn't let the potential for bullying dictate what you do. I mean, should Two not be transgender, just because it invites social problems? Also, I never cared that much about my appearance, so riding my bike to school - and this was in Calif, mind you, so there were plenty of opportunities to be sweaty at the beginning and end of the year - was not a factor for me and it's hard to be sympathetic enough to care, even though I know appearance is a HUGE deal for MiniPlu.

Awww, thank you for thinking of us! Yes, Gender Spectrum, which supports trans youth and runs a conference each year, sent out a link to it, and I, in turn, forwarded it to our principal as a potential resource.

How have you been? I haven't seen you around in ages. How is your mom's health these days? Hope all is ok, or ok enough. *hug*
