Which, for us, is pretty much EVERY field trip. At the parochial school, they accepted as many parents as wanted to come as long as they paid their own way, but for more local trips (via school bus), parents had to drive separately and meet the kids at the destination. I don't know why the public elementary school doesn't do this more. I did raise the issue after seeing how much easier it was for chaperones to juggle a mere handful of kids, not half the class, but the public school didn't seem at all interested. *shrug* Just one more year.
I did ask MiniPlu how she felt about my teaching her PREP class. After some thought, she said it would be somewhat embarrassing, but implied she could live with it. I borrowed the 7th and 8th grade texts on Friday, but haven't had the chance to give them more than a very cursory glance yet.
