I love your chapter headers! So fun to see your process and how you worked up your ideas. The main art is cute and perfectly sums up the two characters backgrounds. Well done!
I am very happy about your praise. The story was so great, the ideas just flew at me. I love symbolism and how much can be expressed with it. Jared and Jensen develop their very own charm in the romantic story and I wanted to portray this likeable nature on the cover.
Wonderful art! 🙌🏼😄 I love seeing the different backgrounds for the covers, it really shows how different moods can be achieved with different colours! And I love the green that you choose. The boys are super cute 🤗🤗 and I love the way you made the cover reversible dot that either one could be in focus. And the chapter headers are delightful! Wonderful job, a pleasure to see. Thank you 😄
A big thank you for your words of praise. 🤗 It has been confirmed again that the first idea is usually the best. The green background really suits the cheerful nature of the story. Red and black would have also been good in a vampire or mafia story. The story starts with Jared and his win, but then the action is split equally between them. So there is a cover to suit every reader and their J2 favorite. The chapter titles were a no-brainer. I'm fascinated by these classic trailers. When junkerin described Jared's living situation, I was thrilled with the idea. She also provided Jensen's yacht as a contrast. Voila. Drawing wasn't easy, but it was a lot of fun.😊
If this was the first time you took up traditional drawing as a part of your artwork...I don't believe you. This looks so beautiful. You're so fine with sketches and everything. Even the colors and blending etc i doesn't look like you did this for the first time either. It looks completely professional. I loved the ideas behind your artwork and the way you mentioned why you chose the green background and why specifically you went for shamrock ... you reflect the theme of the story perfectly. Many kudos to you and I hope you keep doing the artwork for many more stories to come! Well done!
Thank you for the high praise. However ... you can take my word for it. The last time I drew was when I was a school kid. And that was a couple of decades ago. Other than that, I've only worked with photos and photo collages. Yes, I work a lot with symbolism and meanings. I think a lot about the artwork to a story. That's how I get my ideas. I like to create artwork for great stories. I have huge fun doing it and I'm a perfectionist at the same time.
