This had a kind of lyrical feel about it, quite fitting for Austria! In terms of characterisation, you have a good grasp of their mannerisms, but they both seemed a bit too open with their emotions. They also lacked some of their usual antagonism towards each other, but then I don't usually read fic for this pairing, so I suppose they'd have to stop arguing at some point for it to work!

History blip: Despite the popularity of the Bad Friends Trio, Prussia was at odds with France and Spain as much, if not more often, than they were allies! I suspect most people would overlook that though. You can tell me to stuff it if I ever get too pedantic over details when commenting on any of your Hetalia fics XD

Blah, characters being too open seems to be my biggest fault when writing for new fandoms (you think I'd have learned that one already xP). And I'd been reading some fics of them before I wrote and a lot of them seemed to have them even MORE emotional, which I found completely unrealistic, so I guess I tried to strike a balance between the snarkiness they have in canon and the more fan-based interpretations of them.

Haha, no problem; I'm never going to pretend to be a history buff although I've taken courses in European History :) I was also watching the whole 'War of Austrian Succession' thing so that might be where the Prussia/France/Spain-as-allies thing came from, regardless.

Finding the right balance is always tricky on first try, especially so since you went straight in on dealing with the potential disappearance of a country! You're always very good at picking up interesting issues or plot lines like that.

And before, in my rushed attempt to provide some form of helpfulness, I went overboard on the criticism and completely forgot to say that I'm looking forward to reading more Hetalia fic from you!

I think that's just the way I am; I love the crackiness of Hetalia but of course what really sticks out to me are the more serious story-lines.
