I'm glad I read this. Your commentary on the Klaine scenes make sense and I think I see now what the writer was trying to do because honestly when I watched the episode all of the Klaine scenes just made me angry, haha.
The first thing I thought of was that it was kind of a throwback to the whole "I don't trust you" scene after they broke up, because that was something that was never really addressed from Kurt's POV, and so much in this episode mirrored that. So maybe I'm totally wrong and that's not what the writers were going for, but it's what makes the most sense to me!
I have to agree with you on the Klaine scenes. They both seemed to come out of it with a new maturity and committment, which was nice to see. I loved Sam and Mercedes' maturity, too.
You were so right about the clothes. I couldn't believe there was another damn neckerchief, and what the hell was with Rachel's outfits?
I think the writer was supposed to be a play on Lena Dunham. Whatever, I don't like Lena and I didn't like her, either. Brittany basically had no storyline, and I think Naya should have been in the episode. This was all about the NY crew, and she was a major part of it.
I think a big part of it is just having fewer characters and more time to devote to developing relationships instead of only giving them a scene every ten episodes where nothing ever progresses. But I think everybody acted very maturely where the couples were concerned in this episode and it was nice to see!
I don't know what they were thinking with most of Rachel's outfits, but they were not good.
Ah, okay, I know very little about her so I didn't get that reference, but I didn't really find it funny. I agree Naya should have been in the episode, but by all accounts it's her own fault she isn't, so...yeah.
I love reading these after the episodes, but I usually don't comment because I don't have much to add, I guess? But just because it made me think about it as I read your comments, the other Blam moments were during Blaine's first (shown) song during his showcase - Blaine goes over to Sam while June goes to Artie. But even that wasn't really shown much on screen, mostly just hinted at. And then the discussion between the guys about the Samcedes breakup...
Overall, I really liked this as a finale (season or series) and I loved the final choice of song :) Thanks for the pic spam recaps!
Yeah, I really want a wedding and I'm sure we'll get one no matter how long season six is since it's the best opportunity to kind of bring old characters back to check up on them.
And I think the fandom took the birds thing to be a throwback to Blaine realizing he was in love with Kurt while Kurt was singing about a dead bird, so apparently Blaine has a thing for birds. That or the fact that really weird things make them think about sex ;)
I guess I didn't appreciate the finale as much as you (altho, as always, I appreciate the pics) b'c I don't believe the writers are consistently following characterization, & it's really really annoying if this turns out to be the end of the show itself

And yeah, there were a couple of very tiny Blam moments, but you really had to look hard to find them.

Thank you for the recaps! I enjoyed them very much! :)
I´m glad Klaine is safe and happy. So I wouldn´t mind if that were the end of the series. I sill want a wedding though.
By the way, I didn´t get the whole turned on by talking about birds. What does it mean?

Oooh. I think the second explanation is better. They are horny all the time and everything turns them on. The bird fetish is just so weird. ^^¡¡
