I’m scared right now. Cause I see something I want. And normally when I see something I want I avoid it. This has gone through my careers, my putting off grad school, and most importantly my dating life. And things are moving forward. I like my job aspects now. I’m in school and now I have been single for 6-7 years.

For what it's worth, I've found that as terrifying as dating is (and as seldom as I manage to do it), it cannot get any easier, I cannot learn to be better at dating, if I never date. The circumstances you've described above seem like the perfect opportunity to go on a date, get to know each other a bit better, all without heavy expectations of how well or how poorly it might turn out.

I hope it does work out. I hope you go for it as unreservedly as possible. I hope you take the plunge. Because there are ways you could fit a date or two here and there into your life. And there are ways to fit a night of snuggling once a week. You're a master at fitting 30/8 into a 24/7 week, and if you want it enough I think you could do it.
