Disappear It has been days since the time Yuto cried to sleep on Keito and ever since, the older boy had rarely come over to look for Yuto or rather, he only came to look for Yuto for work and nothing else. The taller boy on the other hand thought it was good that Keito is treating him like this since he wouldn't be able to hurt the older boy anymore but to be honest, he was hurt. Keito had once promised him that he wouldn't leave him like how Ryutaro did but the way Keito is acting now, it's no different from leaving him alone.
"Nakajima-kun, are you alright? You're looking a little pale." One of Yuto's co-worker asked while placing a cup of tea on his table.
"I'm fine. Thank you." Yuto nodded his head a little though he didn't touch the cup of tea at all.
"Drink this. It will make you feel better." The lady urged as he pushed the cup closer to Yuto.
"I will." Still, Yuto didn't touch the cup nor even lift a finger.
"Drink it now." The lady took the cup up and placed it near Yuto's mouth. For some reason, she is being really persistent and Yuto hates it a lot.
"Can you stop it? It's really irritating." Yuto told the lady with a huge frown on his face while glaring at her through the corner of his eyes. The lady step back, shocked at Yuto's attitude.
"Sorry. He doesn't like tea that's why." A hand landed on Yuto's shoulder while the lady just nodded her head and walk away.
"Come with me." That familiar voice said as he pulled Yuto up from his seat and drags him all the way to the rooftop.
"What do you want Keito?" Yuto look away, not wanting to meet eyes with the older boy.
"What's wrong with you? You're getting paler and not even smiling at all now." Keito asked as he passed a hot chocolate to Yuto. The younger boy stared at the cup of chocolate as though it was something he has never seen before.
"You remembered..." Yuto muttered lowly, didn't plan for Keito to hear it but the older boy did.
"Of course. I won't forget anything you've told me or my promises to you." Keito said as he sat next to Yuto.
"Liar." Yuto replied immediately.
"Wha-" Keito started but was interrupted by the taller boy.
"You promised to not leave me. But what you are doing now is no different from leaving me alone." Yuto stared coldly at Keito whom in turn averted his eyes.
"I'm not leaving you."
"Then? Are you going to say something like you don't like me anymore so you don't want to be near me or something?" Yuto spat.
"I'm not gonna say that!" Keito frown, a little angry that Yuto is accusing him like that. "It's your fault in the first place!"
"My fault?!" This time, it's Yuto's turn to get pissed off.
"You know that he left you yet you're still clinging onto this useless relationship and do you know how much it hurts to stay next to you while looking at your sad face?!" Keito shouted, not missing the hurt look on Yuto's face when he said about his previous relationship.
"I never ask you to stay beside me in the first place." Yuto said, hurt in his voice as he look up to the now standing up Keito. "If it hurts you then just leave me alone." The taller boy then stood up and left the place, leaving Keito all alone.
"Damn...!" Keito cursed as he ran his hand through his hair.
----------
Since then, Yuto never saw Keito again, not even for work. He was starting to get worried, wondering if Keito is unwell or he isn't even in this company at all. Yuto haven't been thinking about Ryutaro for a long time since Keito was the one occupying his mind. He knows that he was really mean to Keito but at that time, his mind was blank and all he knows is that he was really angry. But deep inside, he probably just doesn't want Keito to hurt anymore because of him. And now, Keito left and he really have no one left for him anymore.
"What is wrong with me...?!" Yuto grumbled as he rolled around his bed then screamed into the pillow when he couldn't get any answer. Yuto is getting more and more frustrated each day as there's nothing in his mind except for Keito. And because of being so stress, Yuto soon fell sick and had to take a few days off from work.
----------
"Welcome back Okamoto-kun." One of Keito's colleague said as he arrived in the company. He was sent for a business trip and came back only recently. That's why Yuto didn't see him in the company recently and started getting all worked up by himself. The older boy then excused himself and walk to Yuto's department, hoping to see the younger boy since he missed him quite a lot, even after that small argument that they had. Upon reaching and not seeing the taller boy, Keito frowned a little before asking one of Yuto's colleague and found out that Yuto had taken sick leave.
The older boy immediately rush to Yuto's house after hearing the news and knowing where the younger boy place the spare key, he grabbed it, unlocked the door and went to Yuto's room immediately. He sighed in relief as he saw the younger boy sleeping peacefully and was about to leave when he heard sounds coming from the sick boy.
"D-don't leave me alone..." Keito turned his head and saw Yuto twisting and turning around in his bed, his face contorting as though he met something really scary. The older boy hesitated. Yuto was probably thinking about Ryutaro once again and Keito doesn't want to be there for Yuto only for the taller boy to be disappointed when he wakes up and realize it's not who he had expected. Another sound was then produced by Yuto and it broke Keito’s hesitation as the older boy rushed next to Yuto in a split of a second. He wiped the cold sweat gently away from Yuto’s face then kissed his forehead, hoping that the nightmare would just be gone.
Keito felt the younger boy stirring in his sleep and pulled himself away even though he wanted to just stay in that position. Yuto yawned widely while his right hand rubbed his eyes lazily, not noticing Keito until he turned his head to the side.
“Kei…to..?” Yuto managed to utter out as if it was the most foreign thing he had heard of.
“Are you okay?” Keito ignored Yuto’s look of confusion and was purely worried about his condition right now.
“What are you doing here?” Yuto frowned as he turned away from Keito, his back facing the older boy. Keito in turn, frown at the younger’s attitude towards him and wondered if he did something wrong.
“Are you mad at me?” Keito asked even though he knew the answer. Yuto didn’t reply him, causing the older boy to heave a large sigh.
“What did I do this time? Is it because I’m not Morimoto-kun? Because you wanted him by your side but I’m not him?” Keito spat bitterly. He hoped that wasn’t the case but somehow his mind is telling him that that is the case.
“That’s not it!” Yuto got up immediately but it was a bad choice as he started feeling light headed.
“You’re sick so don’t get up so fast.” Keito scolded Yuto, temporarily forgetting about earlier’s topic. Yuto felt his heart fluttering at Keito’s kindness but that wasn’t the main point right now.
“I wasn’t thinking of Ryutaro at all.” Yuto muttered so softly to the point where even Keito couldn’t hear him.
“What did you say?”
“I said I wasn’t thinking about Ryutaro at all! I was thinking about you! I had a nightmare of you leaving me..” Yuto trailed off as the nightmare reappeared, causing tears to well up in the corner of his eyes.
“Baka.. I told you I won’t leave you right..” Keito got up the bed and pulled the taller boy into an embrace.
“But you were gone for such a long time and I didn’t see you at all.” Yuto clutched Keito’s shirt tightly while crying onto his chest, wetting the older’s shirt.
“I…was on a business trip.” Keito told Yuto and the younger boy pulled away immediately, feeling slightly embarrassed for getting so worked up but also angry.
“Why didn’t you tell me?! I thought you got angry at me and was going to disappear from my life like how Ryutaro did!” Yuto punched Keito on the chest lightly.
“I’m sorry Yuto, I’m sorry.” Keito caught both of Yuto’s hand and yet again pulled him into a hug. “I promise I won’t leave you so stop crying.” Keito cooed the younger boy. It was then that Yuto realized that the tears started falling uncontrollably down his cheeks.
“R-really? You p-promise?” Yuto hiccupped a few times as he tried to complete his sentence.
“I promise. But you must also promise me something.” Keito kissed Yuto’s forehead lovingly then stared into his eyes.
“W-what?”
“Forget about Morimoto-kun.” Keito stated firmly.
“But-”
“If you can’t do it then I can’t stay with you anymore.” Keito bit his lips, wondering if he is going a little too extreme especially what if Yuto chooses Ryutaro instead of him but this is the only way he could think of to stop Yuto from suffering.
“I…” Yuto trailed off, his mind messed up from everything.
Keito closed his eyes and braced himself for Yuto’s choice. It’s now or never.
“I will try to forget about Ryutaro.” Yuto finally uttered out as Keito open his eyes wide, hoping that he didn’t hear wrongly.
“Really? You chose me instead of Morimoto-kun?” Keito eyes sparkled with happiness as Yuto nodded his head with a small smile carved on his face.
“I’m so glad Yuto!” Keito couldn’t express how happy he was as he pulled Yuto into a gorilla hug.
“Does that mean that you accept me as your boyfriend?” Keito asked, hoping he isn’t going too fast.
“That…yeah.” Yuto smiled a wider smile this time, one that Keito had long seen.
“I miss your smile.” Keito brought his hand up and caressed Yuto’s face gently.
“I’m sorry for everything. I only realized that I love you when I couldn’t find you anywhere.” The younger boy placed his palm on top of Keito’s hand which was on his face and snuggled into it.
“C-can you repeat it again?” The older boy couldn’t believe his ears.
“I said I love you.” Yuto leaned in and kissed Keito fully on the lips.
“What about Morimoto-kun?” Keito asked, unsure about how Yuto feels towards Ryutaro.
“Let’s just say that he found his happiness..” Yuto smiled sadly but it was gone immediately as Keito landed a kiss on his cheek.
“Thank you for accepting me.” Keito told Yuto sweetly.
“I should thank you for being by side this whole time.” Yuto grinned. That night, the newly-born couple spent their time thanking each other then falling asleep with the taller snuggling into the older’s chest.
An opened magazine was left lying on the floor which was flipped to a certain page where there was an interview about a particular successful boy that got married recently. His name is Morimoto Ryutaro and got married with a guy named Chinen Yuri and through his interview, it is known that Ryutaro once had a loving boyfriend whom he loved so much but due to his own selfishness of wanting to make his dream come true, he left him and aimed for his dream but Chinen came by, touching the pits of his heart. Ryutaro felt guilty and sorry towards his ex-boyfriend but nonetheless, wished for his happiness and that’s what Yuto got right now. Happiness.
