Personally I think she's making it obvious something is going on by avoiding saying anything about him. it's what she does when there's dating rumors about someone. Everyone knows they're on "good terms", so she can easily be like hes cool/awesome, a friend etc. She answers questions about Lautner who is a friend...so i dont see why she has to avoid talking about Joe...also the way she goes "aww" was cute. lol

I understood the whole exchange differently. Like to me, Joe said "Hey it's a nice day" to avoid talking ahout his resentment/bitter feelings/say anthing bad about Camille. Taylor quoting him after Kidd told her what he said about Camille, sounds to me like there's no relationship or chances of a reunion anywhere in Taylor's mind.

She always avoids/changes the subject like that with something sarcastic when she's hiding something about someone she's dating. I dont think Joe would be saying how awesome she is and talking about her if it was nothing...
