This is a tough one! Unfortunately, many of these entries knocked themselves out for me - so in the end it was a matter of which was left.

LEAST:
#03 - Very washed out, also it doesn't look like a dessert - it looks llike a drink. Not even sure what is on the left side of the icon. (I can see something yellowish, but have no idea what it is.)

BEST:
#07 - While this is a crossover icon (birthday and dessert) it is an icon I can imagine actually using. It is festive with nice colors, but not overwhelming. I also like the crop and subtle mask used.

#1 - The coloring is far too muted and there is not enough contrast.

BEST:
#8 - Nice use of text and great coloring.

#002 - The icon is plain, even though the coloring is bright. IT seems like just a crop.

BEST:
#001 - The coloring is really nice, and the text size/placement/font is good.
