Charles Miller's autumn auction is coming up at the end of the month and the star lot this time round is this "Diary written by Admiral Lord Collingwood whilst commanding the British Fleet in the Mediterranean dec 1807 to January 1810." You can read more about the diary Read more... )

That's a truly fascinating story. And I wish I had money to actually bid on some of the items in the Charles Miller catalogue, but alas.

It's an amazing story isn't it? And yes, Charles Millers catalogues are a terrible temptation! Probably just as well everything is well out of my range :}
