Looks really cool! Although I don't know how unique it is, considering it sounds very similar to the Tall Ships Festival. But! Yes, very neat.

And could I beg of you to put a bunch of this under an LJ-cut? It takes up rather a lot of space. :(

Sorry Jay,

Your comment is warranted. I was half-awake, in a hurry, and it had been ages since I had posted to LJ. Most of the body details of the post are of local interest only, since you have to be there to board the ships, sail in the "pirate battle", etc.
I have attempted to hide the bulk of it under an LJ-cut, with what success I am unsure, since the preview seems unchanged.

Hee, don't worry about it. A minor annoyance, really, but one that could be solved.

It probably did work (I'll have to look at my friends page to be sure) - LJ cuts don't show up in the 'preview' except as a bit of a bigger space where the cut is.
