Title: Truth and Fiction in The Da Vinci Code: A Historian Reveals What We Really Know about Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and Constantine
Author: Bart D. Ehrman
Number of Pages: 240
Genre: Non-Fiction, Religion
Book Number: 19

Review: Having just finished Misquoting Jesus, and Jesus, Interrupted, a lot of the information that Ehrman presented was familiar to me, but there was some new information as well. The thing I liked most about this book was the way in which it was presented. Ehrman's agenda was simply to point out historical error, not to criticize the message. He actually LIKED The Da Vinci Code as a work of fiction. It was a refreshing change from other books I've read that were defensive and reactionary, namely The Da Vinci Hoax: Exposing the Errors in The Da Vinci Code by Carl E. Olson.
