Aikidomayland cracked the outside edge of the safety tab on the food processor lid about 2 months ago. The entire safety tab has finally fallen off. I can, by virtue of slender sewing tool, bypass the safety catch and use the food processor, but not a good idea to do this ( Read more... )

Umm, so wouldn't it make more sense to get a new one? Just thinking of the new warrenty and longer life of a new vs used one...

Nope, as the motor and housing are fine. Too many people are of the THROW IT AWAY mentality... just have to go look at landfills to see that.

EDIT: and it's still $10 less than a new one.

Yeah, I think people are going to have to re-examine what household economy means.

No more of this "Have to get a new car, my ashtray is full".

Does remind me of printers. There the printer is cheap because they make the money on the ink.

Is the cost including shipping?
