Don't forget The Fountain, where a man who is so in love with his wife that after she dies, he spends the next 500 years trying to bring her back to life...I doubt she would do the same if the situations were reversed. Six months or a year after he died, she'd be all "Oh well, I'm over him now, time to fuck his best friend! LOLOLOL!"

the same is also true in other movies but in reverse... women sacrificing for men who don't deserve it. the moral of the story? it isn't necessarily sexism... people are just dirt.
