Defense of the Faith

It's not enough for Christians to have a simple understanding of their faith in this country. Persecution here isn't from angry mobs or yelling soldiers with guns. Persecution here is with intellectualism, relativist rationalism, pluralist philosophies, intolerance of the intolerant. The so called wisdom of modern scholastics is so enticing, so ( Read more... )

Even satan, our enemy, knows the Bible.

Thanks for the post. Somehow you happened to post the exact same topic that we are going over in my Christian Apologetics class. Cool.

Relativism needs to die.

haha, true that!!! we're talking about the authority of the bible in my class too, i love apologetics.... its really interesting. debates and witnessing are still scary, but thats why knowing the actual verses and author's intent is SO SO important.

awesome post peter... thanks!! i liked the story- good example. :)

Yeah. This is true. I try to read books of the Bible through. Well, like a chapter a day or so. Which I guess is still going with the chapter thing, but sometimes it's hard for me to focus for that long.

Ugh. I haven't talked to you in forever. Mostly cause I get home from school and I'm like dead. I'm so tiiired and don't feel like talking to you. But you're coming to homecoming, right... RIGHT???

PS I don't wanna graduate high school.

Erm. Rather I don't feel like talking to anyone. LOL. Not you specifically. I'm not like "Man, I don't want to talk to that Peter James." It's more like "I'm tired and therefore I feel antisocial". Oh and my icon is amazing.

I don't know if you will actually read this but I was just browsing and I saw this. I agree with that completely. It reminds me of that calendar thing that we talked about in youth group. You know the one where it said if you bow to me I will give you everything you want but it was Satan talking to Jesus trying to tempt him. People take verses out of context all the time and it really bothers me. My problem with evangelising to people is not that I don't know it but that I don't know where it is to show them. It gets really old and frustrates me. Oh well I guess I just have to study more.
