Oh man... this one was an instant favourite. I have no words to describe just how much I loved this.

Dood, I love it when you rec things. I can't say I'll read all of these, but a couple of them definitely sparked my interest! Which would be impressive if you knew how long it's been since I read a yaoi manga.

50 x 50, Nights, Doushitemou Furetakunai, and We Are Gorgeous specifically.

A *very* secret fondness of mine seem to be for manga (and fanfics) that are pretty typical in chickflick movies -- the widely considered unattractive person ends up with the popular, attractive person. A weird thing to have as a "guilty pleasure", perhaps, but I seem to find it interesting. I just wish people would write more about what others think about it, because I can't see everybody being okay with it.

I must confess I also rather like those, but as you say, they're rare. At least in the fanfiction world, though that may be because generally most canon charactes are attractive from the get-go. ^^U

I guess a guilty pleasure of mine would be mpreg stories... but it's hard to find well-written ones, and they all seem to go the same way. :/

I also really enjoy stories where "real" people end up together... people with flaws, who make it up as they go along instead of following some inner script that forbids them to do anything wrong. I like realistic romance, one that you could find in real life instead of idealized ones. But if you take a look at my stories, it can't be a secret that's the kind of romance I enjoy. ^^U

I've actually read quite a few of these. I'll say Stay Gold caught my interest the most. But 50x50 and Mimitabu no Riyuu are among my favorites too. Good recs. d(^^)

Thanks! I figured, since I enjoyed them, maybe someone else will, too. And considering how much stuff I've had to sift through to find stories that I'd like, I thought it would be silly not to share. ^^

All of them are short.

Well, except "Dog Style" and maybe Doushitemou Furetahunai, they're all one volume long or less. In fact, most of these are one-shots. ^^

Uh, most of these have smut in them, and if they don't I don't remember which ones. Sorry. ^^U

Though I do remember than in 50 x 50 we only ever get foreplay and then the "fade to black", if that helps. You never actually get to see them go at it. :)
