YAY! WE ARE BOTH SCURRILOUS LIARS, I GUESS! (I'm not reading the ff.net reviews, though, nonononono. They are exiled to my Hotmail inbox.)

Omg, I am so tired. Would it be weird to spend the next seven minute with my forehead resting on my coffee mug?

Well, I just read them and they're mostly sweet. Harmless and sweet. *snuggles you*

And I've been in that position. It's weird and, also, the ring on your forehead is a bit unfortunate.

WELL, YOU KNOW, ALL GREAT ART COMES FROM SUFFERING.

Fabulous. I ducked out of watching season 14 from rage and frustration, if I'm honest, but I love your version. Neela's voice is so very well done and the realisations that she comes to and how she does is so are well-structured. I particularly liked the part about how it wasn't so much her feelings but their power that took her by surprise. And after watching her work through some of those feelings, the hope of the ending is lovely.

Thank you so much for coming back and leaving a comment on this one! I hadn't read it in a long time. It was the first thing I wrote for these characters, and it's funny to see how my approach changed or stayed the same since that first "I have to write something because fuck this show" impulse. There were a ton of fix-its and reunion fics back then, and I thought, "Well, I'm depressed by this, so I'm going to write something depressing. And also, I DON'T UNDERSTAND HER, WHY WON'T SHE LOVE HIM?" But then of course I had to give it a hopeful ending, because I will always be a sap.

Total honesty: I skipped season 14, too.
