The MG Road looked deserted on a sunday afternoon which kept me wondering for a while after which I realised that I live in a cricket crazy country. Thank you for this wonderful post; I feel like I was walking along with you. I know what you mean about how a place can seem deserted if everyone's watching sports on television (or for that matter, a live match in town).

The coffee house sounds like a great spot :-)

Have you been to the Irani cafés of Bombay? Each of them is from around 1930s or earlier.

No no.. I haven't travelled mumbai well but have heard a lot about these Cafes. Would love to go explore them out someday :-)
