Bangalore Volvo Buses

Ever since BMTC introduced the Volvo bus, I have been pretty excited about for more than one reason. The very fact that you have a completely air-conditioned, clean, beautiful buses makes you feel good. I have always made it a point to time my commute in sync with the volvo bus timings. Very valid point. Why don't you also write to Mr Upendra, Chairman, Bengaluru Sarige Sansthe, pointing this out to him?

well I do like the volvo buses but there is 1 thing I am not OK with them. The emissions. If you have observed there is a crazy amount of soot that is emitted by the bus at low gears. I know it
is diseal and all that but I am sure they can work towards getting rid of this. It would prevent fumigation of the people standing near these buses at signals etc.

Regarding the dustbins, I think it makes more sense if they added dustbins at the bus stands. I think this would be good for people who can afford the luxury bus service as well as the common passenger.

Yes, Volvo emissions are higher. But if it can get 50-60 car users (i believe it have the potential) as its passengers, i am sure it gets compensated and also solves other problems :-)

ABout dustbins, yeah the bus stop dustbins should be maintained better but yeah, I think these buses should have dustbins too (no harm)

ya no harm, agreed.

I am ok with the emissions but what I am not ok is with the soot. Because it is something that can be and should be solved. I had a lovely experience of my entire white shirt becoming Black once. :-)
