For my previous post,somebody commented:

Dude aren't you the one who protests widening roads and Metro and what not? Trying to bring stay from High Court on developmental activities? Why are you complaining now???

I think atleast 80% of Bangalore thinks this way. They think BBMP is doing the right thing for them. Have the flyovers ever solved our ( Read more... )

For the metro to solve all problems one line will not do. That S shaped line should probably be fine, but it should be complemented by at least three or four other lines, two or three radiating from the centre and one going along the ring road. All that means so many more thousands of crores!

I had been to the new airport for the first time on Monday. I covered the 40 kms in 40 mins both ways. The roads are widened and good...but not safe for two wheelers and pedestrians at all. The way the 4/6 wheelers are driven it sure is a highway to HELL!!!

I agree that most of our infrastructure plans seem to plan for the current levels of population and traffic and not for a few years from now. This is why they become useless by the time they are completed.
Haven't been to the new airport or on that road but none of our roads are safe for pedestrians. it is almost like they don't expect them to use the roads.
