A real fun meme has been making rounds on LJ and I cannot resist any longer.

Initially, I was a little hesitant in showing off my collection as it seemed tiny compared to some of my friends' but when my mum complained that my bookshelf might just fall off the wall if I bought another book, I decided to give in. So I clicked while my hands shook with excitement.

Heh. Nope, Adams has not written that book! It is his musical biography. Flappers 2 Wrappers is thie weird book I got for free on buying a lot of other books. It talks about American youth slang. Quite fun at times.

Hmm...I also like the in-use look of my shelf. :p

She's right, the shelf does seem a bit bent already :) A nice collection. As an aside, do you frequently buy second hand books?

Something related: I tried cataloguing some of my books on librarything. This is what it looks like: http://www.librarything.com/catalog.php?view=jbritto

Nope, I do not buy second hand books much. The thing is that I like collecting books and second hand stuff usually does not fit in. However, when I was in H'bad for a short while, I shopped for second hand books like mad. Mainly becuase they were avilable in a great condition and at irresistible prices.

I have seen Librarything before and am tempted. However, laziness has kept me away.

Oye! You were to borrow some books from me, remember? :p

Oh! And why did you disappear from LJ in between? You deleted your LJ. Let me add you again.

What? Even apna Palika is better than this Planet M then!

You must return those and get your money back. Did you?

Impressive. But use a tripod next time. :)

I have a similar collection, but there's an excess of Enid Blyton - mostly 1970s paperbacks.

Hee. The pictures are exceptionally bad. Bad angle, very poor lighting, and unstable hands. But I was so excited that I went ahead and posted them anyways. :)

Wonderful, wonderful. Love the mix...you are pretty much an all rounder. :)

I spotted quite a few favorites.

This post will be helpful in knowing what book not to gift! :D
